Event pages for book clubs
A book club event page should answer three questions: which meeting, what time, and how many people the room or the park can hold. moimoy is a free-to-try link for that. Members RSVP there instead of replying in a long thread.
One page per meeting
Title the gathering with the date or the book. Add the time and a public place, such as a library room or a park. Set the spots to the size the group wants.
Open circle or a closed list
Leave RSVPs open, or switch on host approval if you want to say yes before someone is confirmed. Approval asks for a name, a photo, and a short bio. You can add two questions.
A reminder before the meeting
Guests can add the meeting to a calendar. moimoy also sends reminders before the start. You still check people in if you want a record of who came.
Questions
Can the page name the book?
Yes. The title and the description are yours. Say which book and where you are meeting.
What if the group is invite-only?
Use host approval. People apply, and you approve them into a spot or a waitlist. A decline does not send a reason.
Is there a charge to host the page?
It is free to try. This version does not charge a membership.
